For the novice looking at how to protect their assets, it’s sometimes difficult to assess which level of protection to decide upon. Most would refer to the UL-level standards as a guide which is a good starting point, but the UL standards are easily attainable as they only require you to stop a few rounds and, in some cases, just one round.

After extensive research and talking with main industry leaders in the utility sector, we began to understand what their real concerns were and what they expected from the protection they were seeking for their assets, and the message was very clear, the valuable feedback we received pointed towards people wanting something more robust than a product stopping a few rounds and something that went far beyond the UL and NIJ standards. 

3B listened and acted which has led us to provide a portfolio of tailored ballistic, blast, and forced entry solutions to address these needs. We wanted to offer a product that gave our clients uncontested protection against real-life situations.

Here at 3B, we have our own world class test program in terms of the ballistic, shaped charge, and blast testing, our most recent testing saw our wall panels subjected to a barrage of over 7,000 rounds of ammunition covering all UL and NIJ levels. 

In addition to this testing, we have also performed a series of high-speed fragmentation testing and live blast testing all this testing can be witnessed by our clients on request, our message is a simple one if you want to invest in pro3tecting your assets choose something that is tested for real-life scenarios, not something that is tested to stop 1 round.
